Watching pink was a an experience by itself. A must watch movie for every parent ,struck a chord with me and was not just entertainment but much more then that . I have never ever written so much about a movie that I watched !
1) The movie talked about the strong gender stereotypes we have in india specially in todays times. The role parents play in creating that image/perception . Our acceptance of these stereotypes starting at the time of birth whether its pink or blue.
2) The movie also reflects the dismayal awareness that we have about the legal procedures in India and that itself creates fear in our minds to even consider taking help. The corruption may demotivate us but I feel should not dishearten us from taking a legal recourse if the need be and this also stems from my personal experience .
The broad role that we all play as educators , as lawyers, as parents etc etc would be significant to reduce this bias and in driving awareness amongst the youth .The safety of woman in our country and the myths associated with what constitutes as good , bad or ugly behaviour is worth revisiting while we watch this movie . The questioning of pink vs blue stereotypes is more deep rooted then obvious, as seen in the movie .The actors have done a phenomenal job in this movie is what I felt .I guess I could go on endlessly about the movie but the small role we play as individuals working towards reducing this bias would go a long way
